May I say thank you to your fine officers that helped me out today. As a lady of 70 years of age, I was almost taken advantage of this afternoon on what I very much considered to be a theft by deception transaction and had Sgt W not stepped in to help me out, I KNOW I would have been taken advantage of. And to those people that meet online sellers who want to meet in parking lots to buy things that you know nothing about, buyer beware. There are too many scams & too many dishonest people these days. My friend that drove me to Millbrook to complete the transaction felt the situation warranted police intervention but based on living in Montgomery County my experience with calling law enforcement has not been a positive experience so I seriously doubted the Millbrook Police would or could help but I was very wrong. Sgt Williams handled the problem promptly, efficiently, knew the law concerning these matters & he never left us unattended until my problem was solved. When Sgt Williams had to leave at the end of the shift, he had his evening supervisor, whose name I can’t remember, come by & replace him to insure our safety until the situation was under control. Both officers were wonderful. Never have I been treated with such efficiency, dignity, kindness & understanding from law enforcement. I cannot get over the way these gentlemen handled themselves. I thank the Lord for police officers like these men. Millbrook residents take notice & be grateful for the department you have. I truly thank the Millbrook Police Department from the bottom of my heart & may God always protect all the dedicated and brave officers on the police force.
